Thank you for having my link on your site. I was Google-ing my name today and that's how I found 300 Pockets. An amazing find because it also led me to Roger Rocha as well. I haven't seen him since the early 90's (pre 4 Non Blondes).
We used to hang out at a mutual friend's house. From time to time I've wondered what became of him. I had no idea he was fronting such a great band. Small world indeed.
I wanted to give my most sincere appreciation to you for mentioning/recommending me as a photographer. I've never had someone (that I've never met) do that. It means a lot because I am trying to develop a name for myself.

Bridgette I mean no disrespect I only want to help you. You have much more access than me. I had a hard hard time learning this. I am still learning this I have very very little experience taking pictures. I am only 23 years old. So don’t be offended. You post a lot of images, statistically speaking you have a big advantage over me, more people look at your photos and you have established yourself in the community. I am from a little hick town in Sonoma County.
I learned a lot about concert photography from Eric Gillet's meta tags, yours dont show up so i dont know what stats were used to make your shots. typically I dont shoot to meter (manual or shutter priority) and I don’t shoot under 1/125 unless it is really really fucking dark, like black. If you are shooting at this or faster and still have camera shake go with the mono stand, if not try it.
The best university photographer may no nothing about club photography, this is distinct from concert photography because the Stones have tons of lights, Cafe Van Kleef does not.
I think you can tell that I only want to help and not blasting you or your work. I try not to get satisfied I go out every time to improve with my rinky dink 200$ camera. You have also been very gracious dealing with my critiques which is the best way to take any critique not getting upset and firing back just for the sake of firing back.
BTW I loved your self portrait, tons of class.

you know your shutter speed is killing you. the computer is ineffective in the dark its just a sophisticated meter of middle gray. Use your ISO's to compensate and autofocus is not a bad thing here AF Servo has its place sometimes too. You have way more tools at your disposal than I do and I don't ever see you using them in your photos. Gosh full frame, I envy you it’s my greatest limitation.

Say, I just want to start off this email with a big thanks to Bridget for all of the work she is doing with the photos - they come out so good, week after week, and anyone who's ever attempted to photograph inside the utah, well you know how skilled she is. So my suspicion that the SF music scene was dying was totally off -- it's not dying, it's deader than dead.
Last visit for me was a bunch of posers standing around vibing each other. Yet once they hit the stage, they all sounded exactly alike: brooding, non-melodic down tempo shitty acoustic sung by frumpy dumpy played out hags and wannabe hipsters. BORING.
And what's with the PHOTOGRAPHER?
She's got to be the biggest idiot poser of them all -- leaning in, craning in, crouching on the floor, like she's chronicling an important life event for Nat'l Geographic, adorned in a safari outfit, like she's just happened upon some lost city.
Honey, calm down. It's an open mic. What a self-important asshole she is.
